Dead body of missing person tied to stone recovered from well in Thane district

A missing 32-year-old man was found murdered after his body was found tied to a stone from a well in Maharashtra’s Thane district, an official said on Saturday.

Chandraprakash Sureshchandra Lobanshi was missing since January 20. Locals in Davadi village of Dombivali East area alerted the police after finding a dead body of a person in a well on Thursday.

The officer said the body was tied to a stone and had sharp weapon wounds on the back and neck. Later it was identified as Lobanshi. Manpada police of Dombivali registered a case of murder on Friday.

The station house officer of the police station said, investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators of the murder and the motive behind the crime.
