Baramulla, July 30, KDC: As part of the ongoing efforts to honor the national heroes of India in Independence Day 2025, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa For, to work for the lens naik dissolve. (Posthumously) for his extraordinary valor during the Kargil War (Operation Vijay).
Along with ADC Sopore, SA Raina and other senior officials, DC visited the martyr’s residence and interacted with family members. Officials expressed their deep respect and praise for the brave sacrifice made by Lance Naik Khan, who set their lives on 7 June 1999, while fighting bravely in Point 5203 in the Kargil sector.
The authorities emphasized their unmatched courage, during which they ended many enemy soldiers before leaning to their injuries, receiving them one of the country’s highest valor prizes, Veera Chakra.
To honor the memory of Brevhart, DC announced that the name of the government middle school at Madil will be changed in the name of Lance Naik Ghulam Mohammad Khan. He also revealed that a memorial gate affecting the martyr’s name would be built on the Naribi Road as a permanent symbol of honor and recognition.
The journey also served as a platform for public outreach. A large number of local residents collected and shared many long pending demands and complaints related to lack of road connectivity, insufficient drinking water supply, poor electrical infrastructure, health care issues and school facilities upgrades.
Demonstrating a civil-centered approach, DC raised all the concerns raised to the concerned officials of PHE, PWD, Power, Health and Education Departments to initiate quick action and be patiently listened to all the concerns raised to the concerned officials of the departments. He assured the local people that the administration is committed to expanding equal development for remote and undeveloped areas like Madarbal, and every real demand would be addressed in a timely manner.
