Creta to XUV 3X0: SUV with panoramic sunroof priced under ₹20 lakh

The XUV 3XO, the latest SUV from the Mahindra stable, is also the most affordable model you can buy that offers a panoramic sunroof. This feature is a first in the sub-compact SUV segment where other models on offer come with an electric sunroof. The XUV 3XO was launched in India at a starting price ₹7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, these features are not available in the entry-level variant of the SUV. To buy the XUV 3XO with panoramic sunroof, the MX2 Pro variant will cost at least Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Motor’s Astor SUV was the most affordable car in the segment to offer this feature until the launch of the Mahindra XUV 3XO. Astor was one of the first SUVs in the compact SUV segment to offer this feature. Starting with the price of Ester ₹9.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Variants offering a panoramic sunroof are priced in Astor ₹12.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Korean auto giant’s flagship SUV is third in the list of most affordable SUVs with a panoramic sunroof option. Kia introduced this feature when it launched the Seltos facelift in July last year. SUVs are priced in between ₹10.90 lakhs and ₹20.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The variant with panoramic sunroof is priced starting here ₹14.06 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai’s flagship SUV, which rivals the likes of Seltos in the compact SUV segment, was introduced in its previous version in 2020 with a panoramic sunroof feature. The latest iteration, launched earlier this year, offers this feature. ₹15.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
India’s largest carmaker had shied away from adding fancy features like sunroofs to its models until very recently. The Grand Vitara is the first Maruti car to get a panoramic sunroof when the SUV is launched in 2022. Price ₹10.87 lakh from ₹19.97 lakh (ex-showroom), the Grand Vitara is jointly developed by Maruti and Toyota. The variant with panoramic sunroof starts here ₹15.47 lakh (ex-showroom).
The urban cruiser HyRyder SUV, a technical cousin of the Maruti Grand Vitara, also offers a panoramic sunroof. Despite being similar models from different brands, the HyRyder is priced slightly higher than its Maruti sibling. Hence, the price of the variant with panoramic sunroof starts from here ₹17.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
The only car maker to offer a panoramic sunroof in more than one model and at a lower price ₹20 lakhs MG motor. The Hector, MG’s best-selling car in India, offers this feature at an even lower price ₹18.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
