Jyotiraditya Scindia: 'Congress is in bad shape because of BJP's Joshi'

Union minister and BJP Guna candidate Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday said the Congress has become “behosh” (mindless) due to the “enthusiasm” of the BJP workers.

He was addressing a rally of BJP workers at Khaniyadhana in Shivpuri district of Guna constituency.

“Congress has become ‘behosh’ due to the ‘josh and hosh’ (enthusiasm and vigilance) of the BJP workers. Until Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s target of winning over 400 Lok Sabha seats is achieved, we will not It should be ignored,” he said.

He urged party workers to connect with 370 new voters at each polling station to ensure a historic victory for the BJP.

The Union minister said his grandmother, the late Vijayaraje Scindia, a BJP stalwart, used to carry a ‘gamcha’ (cotton scarf) to ward off the heat, and he Also carried an onion in his pocket while campaigning. Onions are traditionally believed to prevent heatstroke.

Mr. Scindia further said that the BJP workers should work hard so that the Congress does not even realize it.

The Congress has fielded Rao Yadvendra Singh Yadav against Mr Scindia in the Guna seat, which has a large number of Yadav voters.

In 2019, Mr Scindia lost as a Congress candidate to the BJP’s Krishna Pal Singh Yadav by more than 1.25 lakh votes. Mr. Scindia joined the BJP in 2020.
