Congress forms six-member panel to coordinate with Himachal Pradesh government

“The president of the National Assembly has approved the proposal to establish a coordination committee.”

New Delhi:

After the disastrous defeat in the Congress, the great old party formed a six-member coordination committee for better coordination between the government and organizations in Himachal Pradesh.

According to an official release, the committee includes Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, state party president Pratibha Singh, deputy chief minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Congress leader Kaul Singh Thakur, Dhaniram Shandil and Ram Ram Lal Thakur.

“The Congress President has approved the proposal to set up the following coordination committee for better coordination between the Government of Himachal Pradesh and the organization with immediate effect,” the statement said.

Earlier on Saturday, a total of 11 MLAs from Himachal Pradesh arrived in the BJP-ruled Uttarakhand state, headed by CM Sukhu, amid turmoil within the Congress party in the state lead.

A bus bearing a Haryana license plate arrived at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Rishikesh and 11 MPs, including six rebel MPs and three independents, entered the hotel under tight security cover.

“Some MLAs are sad. They have been under CRPF security. Is this how democracy remains strong? Horsemanship weakens democracy,” Suhu told reporters in Palampur on Friday.

“I just came to know through social media that they (rebel MLAs) were taken away from their hotel in Panchkula and a chartered flight took off from Chandigarh airport. I don’t know where it will land. It’s because of them Their families put pressure on them to return,” Suhu said.

Himachalaya comes after six Congress MPs abstained from voting on the Budget in last month’s Lok Sabha polls after cross-voting with party candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania disqualified six Congress MPs.

Patanya had said that the six MLAs who contested under the Congress party’s symbol incurred the anti-defection law’s provisions against them.

Those who voted for BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan in the Lok Sabha polls include Congress MPs Rajinder Rana, Sudhir Sharma, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Devinder Kumar Buttu, Ravi Thakur and Chetaniya Sharma, and three independent MPs – Hoshiar Singh, KL Thakur and Ashish · Sharma.

The 11 MLAs landed at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun around 2:40 pm on Friday and were driven to their hotel in Rishikesh.

The development comes two days after Chief Minister Suhu left for Delhi to meet Congress top brass. It is learned that the chief minister is in the national capital to meet the Congress high command and give a report on the current political situation in the state.

Asked about the possible return of rebel MLAs to the Congress party, Suhu said on Thursday, “If a person realizes his mistake, then that person deserves another chance.”
