Citroen C3 Aircross automatic transmission launched in India, priced at Rs 12.85 lakh

French car manufacturer Citroën Launching an automatic version of its popular compact SUV C3 Aircross AT.

Originally launched in September 2023 with only a manual transmission option, the C3 Aircross now offers customers the convenience of a 6-speed automatic transmission (torque converter).

Available in Live, Feel and Max variants, as well as the unique option of a 7-seat configuration with removable third-row seats, the C3 Aircross is designed to stand out in the highly competitive compact SUV segment. Let’s dig into the details of the newly launched automatic variant:

Pricing and variants:

The automatic transmission is available on the mid-size Plus 5-seater model and the top-spec Max 5-seater and 7-seater models. The price difference between the manual and automatic gearbox in these models is Rs 1.30 lakh, which makes the automatic gearbox a premium option. Unfortunately, the 7-seat Plus model doesn’t offer an automatic transmission option.

Engine specifications:

Powering the Citroen C3 Aircross is a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 110 hp and 190 Nm of torque. The engine is now available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The torque output of the automatic version is increased to 205 Nm, providing a dynamic driving experience. This enhancement makes the C3 Aircross an attractive option for those looking for a balance of power and efficiency in a compact SUV.

Features and Security:

Citroën has maintained the feature-rich nature of the C3 Aircross by launching an automatic variant.

Notable amenities include a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver display, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and a manual air conditioning system.

In terms of safety, the SUV comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and a rear parking camera.
