Christian Horner: Formula One boss’ accuser appeals Red Bull boss’ misconduct decision

A female employee suspended by Red Bull over allegations of misconduct is appealing against team principal Christian Horner’s decision to acquit her of misconduct, the PA news agency reported.

After investigation, Red Bull Dismiss the complainant’s complaint In February, this meant Horner was allowed to continue his role in the squad.

But the employee has now lodged a formal appeal with the F1 team’s Austrian parent company, Red Bull GmbH.

According to Sky Sports News, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), which governs F1, is also evaluating an investigation related to the allegations made by Horner’s accuser.

The employee, who is believed to have been working in Milton Keynes, was told she had acted dishonestly and it is understood she has been arrested furlough.

She also received a legal letter giving her five working days to appeal the findings.

Horner, 50, has always denied the allegations against him and was allowed to continue in his role when GmbH cleared him of any wrongdoing.

When asked about the incident ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah on March 7, Horner said: “There has been a lot of coverage around this.

“We have to get back to basics. A complaint was filed, it was fully investigated, and then it was dismissed. We move on.”

“There’s a lot of interest in different elements of the media for different reasons,” he added.

“I think it’s time to draw a line. And pay attention to what’s happening on the track.”

He said the investigation was ‘Very difficult times’ For him and his family, including his wife, the former Spice Girl Jerry Horner.

“My wife and my family have been extremely supportive of this, but enough of the disruption to my family right now is that we need to move on and focus on what we’re here for,” he said.
