Cher Receives Rock Hall Induction Despite Vowing Not To In The Past

Cher is finally honored to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.Decades-long-awaited recognition revealed American idol‘s weekend episode.

The names of the inductees were announced on the evening of Sunday, April 21, coinciding with the goddess of pop’s first appearance on the Hall of Fame ballot in any capacity.

She joins other music legends in receiving this prestigious recognition, including Oozy Osbourne, Peter Frampton, Mary J. Blige, and bands such as Kool & The Gang, Dave Mathews Band, A Tribe Called Quest, and foreigner.

Cher has previously expressed frustration with the agency, which ignored her contributions for more than 30 years.

“I’ll never change my mind. They can do it themselves,” she seemed determined.

Additionally, to be eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a soloist or band must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years ago.
