Bomb threats were received at some schools in Chennai on Thursday, prompting police to take action and they quickly reached the schools with bomb squads.

After receiving threats, students at these schools were sent home with their parents and police conducted anti-vandalism checks.

Officials also urged people not to panic and said action was being taken to identify the culprits who sent the emails. However, the incident forced parents to rush to school to pick up their children.
