Principal Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said that India today is ahead of Pakistan on all fronts despite its long -term strategy than in the neighboring country.
In the Shangri-La dialogue in Singapore, CDS Chauhan said that the two countries gained independence at the same time, and Pakistan was ahead of India in various matrix, including social, economic and GDP per capita, but today, New Delhi is ahead of them.
“Now, on the India-Pakistan relationship, we are not working without a strategy. When we achieved independence, Pakistan was ahead of us on every metric: social, economic, and GDP per capita. Today, India is ahead on all fronts: economic performance, human development and social harmony, despite our greater diversity. This is not. This is a result.
CDS Chauhan said, “Politically, we have reached like 2014 when PM invited Nawaz Sharif. But it takes two hands to clap. If we all have enmity in turn, disintegration could be a sound strategy for ourselves,” CDS Chauhan said.
CDS General Anil Chauhan also interacted with strengthening of Admiral Samuel J Papiro, US Indopacom, USA commander, defense relations.
Their discussion focuses on Operation Sindoor, strengthens military-to-world cooperation and enhances opportunities to promote cooperation in Indo-Pacific in the backdrop of the dynamic regional security scenario.
The two leaders confirmed their commitment to deepen the emerging security challenges and strategic relations.
Meanwhile, India and Brazil strengthened their bilateral relations on the occasion of Shangri-La dialogue 2025, which confirms their commitment to an independent, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific.
Both countries emphasized cooperation on regional security, maritime freedom and sustainable development.
General Anil Chauhan and Admiral Aguer Fire, Head of Employees of Armed Forces, Brazil discussed shared values and interests, outlined the importance of a rule-based international order and the increasing convergence of ideas between India and Brazil on regional and global issues. (AI)
