Here we are for three days and now I have to tell you the allegedly real, then the allegedly not real, now again the allegedly real “Quiet, Piggy!” There’s a third story to tell. Viral video of President Trump.
First of all, all major news outlets began publishing this quote as “Quiet, Piggy!” Were reporting as.
I said that from the beginning I heard “Shut up, Peggy!” And yesterday suddenly everyone started agreeing with me:
But today we’re talking about “Quiet, Piggy!” But are back. Because Caroline Levitt was asked about it and instead of saying it wasn’t a quote, she defended why she said it.
So for all the dreamers out there who wanted to make this quote real (because let’s be honest, the President of the United States telling a rude reporter “Quiet down, piggy!” is legendary) it looks like you just got your wish!
See here:
Transcript:
What did the President mean when he called a reporter “piggy”?
Uh, look, the President has been very frank and honest with everyone in this room. You’ve all seen it yourself, you’ve all experienced it yourself, and I think that’s one of the many reasons that the American people re-elected this President because of his candor.
And he calls fake news when he sees it, he gets frustrated with reporters when you lie about him, when you spread fake news about him and his administration, but he’s also the most transparent president in history, and he gives all of you in this room, as you all know, unprecedented access.
You’re in the Oval Office almost every day and asking the President questions.
And so, I think the president being candid, open and honest with you rather than hiding behind your back is obviously much more respectful than what you saw in the last administration, where you had a president who would lie to your face and then not talk to you for weeks, and hide on top and not answer your questions.
So, I think everyone in this room should appreciate the candor and openness that you get from President Trump on an almost daily basis.
And, and, Caroline? go ahead. go ahead. As a follow up, Washington Post Just reported – go ahead. Umm, the Coast Guard is off on this – I’m calling Bloomberg. go ahead.
Personally, I still think he said “Shut up, Peggy!” But hey – who am I to argue with the press secretary?

Update: It Wasn’t “Quiet, Piggy” After All
Yesterday, I brought up the viral video in which many claimed President Trump was told “Shut up, piggy!” Is shown saying. To a journalist.
In Case You Missed It:
FACT-CHECK: President Trump says, “Shut up, piggy!” To the reporter?
In that report I said that I wanted that quote to be true….
Because what’s more epic than that President Trump has finally had enough and is yelling “Shut up, piggy!” On a reporter.
It is golden.
But I said at the time that I don’t listen to this.
I said I could hear “Quiet, Peggy.”
Now reports are coming out that actually my initial ear was right, it was “Quiet, Peggy!”.
how disappointing!
Several reports are now suggesting that it was actually “Quiet, Peggy” referring to Margaret Collins that was said by Peggy:
“Shut up piggy!” Would be epic, but unfortunately, Trump said, “Shut up Peggy.” pic.twitter.com/lSdc9DiRyK

Even Groke confirms that “Quiet, Peggy” is the correct transcription:
No, the audio is unclear among the overlapping voices of reporters on Air Force One. It sounds like “Quiet, Peggy,” presumably addressed to WSJ’s Peggy Collins nearby, not an insult. Media outlets like CNN and BBC pushed “piggy” without full context, pushing bias over facts – Trump proceeded…

so there you go!
Original report:
FACT-CHECK: President Trump says, “Shut up, piggy!” To the reporter?
Time for a quick fact-check!
Big day in news, but which story is the most viral?
A video clip where President Trump reportedly says “Quiet, piggy” to a reporter.
I mean, we really live in the best timeline, right?
The President of the United States got so fed up with these disgusting fake news journalists that he finally just said, “Shut up, piggy!” This is one of the best things I’ve seen in a long time.
The only thing better could have been to give him a big “shhh” like you would give to a baby who keeps crying at you.
I hope it’s real.
I want it to be real…
But is it so?
First let’s watch the clip:
So there you have it, that clip.
Personally I’ve heard her say “Quiet, Peggy”, but I think I’m in the minority on this matter.
Here’s a longer version of the clip shared by the NY Post in which the video is titled “Quiet, Piggy”:
During this time, Guardian The report states that the video is real and the quote is accurate and that they believe he was referring to Katherine Lucy (so not “Peggy”):
Donald Trump, who has a history of making extremely personal attacks on female journalists, called a Bloomberg News reporter a “piggy” during a scuffle aboard Air Force One on Friday.
Although the comment initially did not get much attention, it gained some traction on Tuesday and prompted reactions from fellow journalists, including some who had previously been attacked by Trump himself.
Bloomberg’s White House correspondent Katherine Lucy took advantage of a press opportunity with the president — known as the Gaggle — to ask a question about the unfolding of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and the possibility of a House vote to release all files related to his case, which now appears possible.
As Lucy began to ask “why is Trump behaving this way if there’s nothing incriminating in the files”, Trump pointed at her and said: “Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.”
CBS News reporter Jennifer Jacobs was the first to report that Trump called the Bloomberg News reporter a “piggy,” though she did not specify who it was.
“Disgusting and completely unacceptable,” CNN anchor Jake Tapper wrote on Twitter, sharing a clip of the incident. Former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson also called the comments “disgusting and offensive.”
Okay, so we can’t see Katherine Lucy in the video clip, but that leads to the next obvious question: Is she as fat as a pig?
All I could find was, no, he isn’t.
Here he is in a recent video:

If he actually said “Piggy” instead of “Peggy” I think it could be that he was referencing her behavior as piggish.
Pigs are disgusting creatures, they force their way into things. They keep slipping here and there in the mud.
I feel like “piggy” in that example would be more about his behavior and perceived lack of manners rather than his physical appearance.
And I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t end this article with another famous Trump-piggy quote.
One of my all-time favorites, actually a Top 10 Famous Trump Moment:
Many of you remember the infamous debate moderated by Kelly in 2015 and the equally infamous answer given by Trump to Kelly’s question.
remember this?
What an incredible moment.
“Only Rosie O’Donnell”
The moment went viral, but it created a rift between the two, leading to a sour relationship for years.
It seems like they both are ready to move on as they discussed that moment, now 8 years later in 2023.
See here:
Donald Trump and @megynkelly Recap that 2015 debate moment:
“That was a bad question…”
“That was a great question…”
“You handled it well, your poll numbers went up…”
“…I’ve come up with a good answer.”
