bukayo saka Said armory Will need to “reset” during their rare seven-day break after a “disappointing” performance as they stumbled to a late win wolves,
Mikel Arteta’s side needed two Wolves own goals to win 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium and ensure they finish the weekend top of the Premier League – one of them coming in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Arsenal have played seven times in 21 days but now have a week off before facing everton Saturday at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
,It’s been a really busy schedule,, Saka said. ,Credit To all the boys and the staff because we’ve been very intense, but we’ve been at it and we’ve had some amazing results.
“It’s good we’ve got a bit of a break, but it’s not the time to relax, it’s just time to reset a bit and then go into the training sessions next week and get ready for Everton.”
Arsenal looked to have allowed Wolves to earn only their third point of the season when Tolu Arokodare equalized in the 90th minute.
However, Yerson Mosquera netted his own to end Arsenal’s embarrassment and keep their Premier League charge on track.
Arsenal’s late win came a week after Aston Villa scored a stoppage-time winner to end Arteta’s players’ 18-match unbeaten run.
And Saka continued: “It was an amazing feeling to win in the last minute. We’ve been the ones to concede in the last minute on a few occasions this season, so it’s good to be on the other side of it.
“It shows our character and we are not going to give up. Also, we are in the Emirates and we need to explain to the teams that it is going to be tough to come here. We have shown that this season and now we have shown it again.
“Obviously I’m happy with the three points, but I’m a little disappointed with the way we played and the result almost cost us the points, but we didn’t, so let’s take the points and move on.”
