Srinagar, July 15, KDC: As part of their ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and safety of pilgrims starting the Yatra, Budgam Police today made a wide fake drill with the nominated Yatra route.
This exercise was performed at strategically important points to assess vigilance, preparations and coordination among various security agencies deployed for the trip. The mock drill imitates a standoff fire attack landscapes, an IED being detected that includes potential hazards, emergency withdrawal and mob management reactions.
Senior officials of the Budgam Police monitored the practice, ensuring that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) were followed and refined where necessary. To test the efficiency of the response teams and quick response units, special focus was focused on important areas, which suffered from crowds or high footfalls.
The mock drill was held without inconvenience to the Yatris or the general public, and the cooperation of citizens and pilgrims was appreciated. Such exercises are part of the regular preparation protocol to strengthen on-ground capabilities and maintain the safety of all the devotees participating in the journey.
