King Charles prepares for Easter service, royals share new posts

Buckingham Palace has announced changes to the royal collection as the palace prepares to celebrate Easter without Prince William, Duchess Kate and their three children.

The royal family’s social media accounts shared some photos from the palace as watchkeepers were replacing timepieces in the royal collection.

It comes after Buckingham Palace confirmed King Charles will lead the royal family in Easter Sunday church services this weekend to mark his most important appearance since his cancer diagnosis last month.

The photo is captioned: “Royal Collection Trust Clockmakers return clocks from the Royal Collection to the Yellow Drawing Room and Central Room in the East Wing of Buckingham Palace.

“At the end of more than five years of important improvement works, artwork in the East Wing is being reinstalled as part of Buckingham Palace’s conservation program to upgrade the historic building’s infrastructure, improve access and protect it for future generations.

This weekend, clockkeepers will be changing the clocks at His Majesty’s official residence as #BritishSummerTime begins. “

The time on more than 1,600 clocks at the King’s official residence will change this weekend as British Summer Time begins.

The Royal Collection Trust said the timepieces in the collection are among the most exquisite and historically significant in the palace. They include musical clocks, astronomical clocks and miniature clocks.
