Buckingham Palace announces exciting news to the public

The Royal Family will open the doors of this iconic venue to the public for the first time.

Buckingham Palace has launched a new tour for royal fans, taking in the East Wing and even the balcony where many members of the royal family wave to the crowds.

Since 1851, the Royal Family has stood in the same place to celebrate major moments. Now, the public will also have the chance to wave from the iconic balcony.

This summer, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the interior of the East Wing, with a guided tour of the famous State Rooms as part of an exciting 45-minute package.

Visitors can also see the exquisite royal collection and masterpieces in the central room, before taking them to the balcony.

Only 20 people are allowed to attend at one time.

The east wing has been restored to protect this historic building from risks and disasters.

The Collection Trust details that “tours of Buckingham Palace’s newly restored East Wing will take place this summer,” which “includes the palace’s front facade and central balcony.”
