BSF Personnel to get new designed uniform for better rest and functionality

In an important step with the aim of improving rest and efficiency, the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel will soon donate new designed uniforms with advanced advanced facilities for India’s diverse climatic conditions.

Sharing the details, Deputy Inspector General of BSF (North) Yogendra Singh Rathore said that the new uniform will have major changes in the composition, color scheme and overall design of clothes.

“There are lots of changes, this is the texture or color. As far as the texture is concerned, it was 50-50 percent in the old uniform-50 percent cotton and 50 percent polyester. The new uniform is 80 percent cotton and 20 percent polyester, because it is hot in Rajasthan, and the north is hot plus humid. Therefore, a cotton-based uniform is very comfortable,” he said.

“The color has also been changed. The current uniform is 50 percent khaki, 45 percent green and 5 percent in brown color. Other patterns have also been changed, people have been introduced, and we have also changed the rank we have inserted.”

Earlier, the Balnoi battalion of the Indian Army along with BSF, made a formal change of uniform at the temple dedicated to Captain Satish Khera on Sunday, reminiscent of his birth anniversary in Ponch, Khera campus in Jammu and Kashmir.
