Instagram handle of Pakistan cricketers stopped after Pahalgam Terror Attack in India

Following the ban on the YouTube handle, the present -day East Pakistan’s Instagram handle has also been stopped in India on Friday.

The list of players whose social media handles were stopped in the country included Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Shoaib Akhtar and many more.
Earlier, YouTube channels of Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Basit Ali, and Shoaib Akhtar were also banned in India after the terrorist attack.
On the recommendation of the Union Ministry of Ministry of Home Ministry, the Government of India on Monday banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for the spread of stimulating and communally sensitive materials and false and misleading information against the country, army and security agencies as per government sources.
The list of other banned YouTube channels in Pakistan included prominent names like Don News, Sama TV, Eri News, Bol News and Jio News.
Other YouTube channels are Irsha Bhatti, Raftar, Pakistan Refinance, Samaa Sports, GNN, Uzair Cricket, Umar Chema Exclusive, ASMA Sirazi, Muzeb Farooq, Suno Newz and Razi NAAMA.
The news is amid growing tension with Pakistan on April 22, where 26 people lost their lives with Basaron Meadow, a popular tourist destination in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
The attack is one of the deadliest in the region since the 2019 Pulwama attack, resulting in the death of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawans. (AI)
