Brooklyn Peltz Beckham is the son of Sir David Beckham and Victoria Beckham. Zeng said he did not want to “reconcile” with his family.
The 26-year-old has spoken out for the first time, acknowledging the feud between him and his family in an Instagram post.
In a statement shared on his Instagram Story, he claimed that his parents have been controlling the media narrative about his family and trying to “sabotage” his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.
Nicola, the daughter of billionaire American businessman Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Hefner Peltz, married Brooklyn in 2022.
He is the eldest son of the former England player and his fashion designer wife. Brooklyn has previously dabbled in photography and cooking, publishing a snapshot book called What I See in 2017 and a hot sauce brand called Cloud 23.
He also posts videos of himself cooking on social media.

The couple, known as Posh and Becks, are also parents to sons Cruz and Romeo and daughter Harper.
Brooklyn Beckham’s full statement is below:
“I kept silent for many years and made every effort to keep these matters private.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team continue to turn to the media, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about some of the lies that have been reported.
“I don’t want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled and I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.
“Throughout my life, my parents have controlled the media narrative about our family.
“Performative social media posts, family events and unreal relationships have been part of the life I was born into.
“Recently, I have witnessed firsthand the countless lies they tell in the media to protect their image, most at the expense of innocent people.
“But I believe the truth will eventually come out.
“My parents have been endlessly trying to sabotage my relationship since before I was married and it hasn’t stopped.
“My mum canceled making Nicola’s dress at the last minute, even though she was so excited to wear her design, which forced her to urgently find a new dress.
“In the weeks leading up to our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured me and tried to bribe me to sign away the rights to my name, which would impact me, my wife and our future children.
“They were adamant that I sign before we got married as that was when the terms of the deal would kick in. My insistence affected payday and they have never treated me the same way since.
“During the wedding planning process, my mum even called me ‘evil’ because Nicola and I chose to have my nanny Sandra and Nicola’s Noni sit at our table together because neither of them had husbands of their own.
“Both of our parents had their own desks that were equally adjacent to ours.
“The night before our wedding, my family told me that Nicola was ‘not blood’ and ‘not family’.
“From the moment I began standing up for myself with my family, I received relentless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, which were sent to the media at their behest.
“Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, and then they ended up suddenly blocking me last summer.
“My mom hijacked my first dance with my wife, a romantic love song planned weeks in advance.
“In front of 500 of our wedding guests, Marc Antony called me to the stage for what was originally planned to be a romantic dance between me and my wife, but my mother was waiting to dance with me.
“It was very inappropriate for her to dance on top of me in front of everyone. I have never felt so uncomfortable or humiliated in my life.
“We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories for our wedding day that would bring us joy and happiness rather than anxiety and embarrassment.
“My wife is constantly disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we try to stay together.
“My mom repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly designed to make both of us uncomfortable.
“Despite this, we traveled to London to celebrate my dad’s birthday but were turned away for a week while we waited in a hotel room trying to plan a quality time with him.
“He refused all our attempts except at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras around every corner.
“When he finally agreed to meet me, it was on the condition that Nikolai was not invited. It was a slap in the face.”
“Later, when my family traveled to Los Angeles, they refused to see me at all.
“My family’s biggest priority is publicity and endorsements. The Beckham brand comes first.
“The ‘love’ of a family is determined by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything, show up and pose for a family photo, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.
“For years, we have gone out of our way to showcase Our Perfect Family by showing up and supporting every fashion show, every party and every press event.
“But one time my wife asked my mom to support rescuing displaced dogs during the Los Angeles fires, and my mom refused.
“The suggestion that my wife controls me is putting the cart before the horse. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety.
“For the first time in my life since leaving my family, this anxiety is gone. Every morning I wake up grateful for the life I have chosen and find peace and relief.
“My wife and I don’t want a life shaped by image, media or manipulation.
“We all want peace, privacy and happiness for ourselves and our future families.”
