In a heinous murder that shocked Britain, a 28-year-old man stabbed his wife to death, chopped her body into more than 200 pieces and left them in his kitchen for a week before leaving a Throw them into the river with the help of friend.

Nicholas Metson, 28, admitted Friday to the March murder of his wife, Holly Bramley, 26, after weeks of denying the accusations and even having sex with his ex. Police who came looking for her joked that she was “probably hiding under the bed.”

‘Get £50 for disposing of body’

Matson likely stabbed his wife multiple times in the bedroom and slashed her body in the bathroom. He then puts the pieces into plastic bags and stores them in the kitchen pantry, a cold area used to store food, before throwing them away.

About a week later, before police arrived on his doorstep, he paid a friend £50 to dispose of the body parts. The court was told the friend wrote in a text message: “I only got £50 to dispose of the body.”

A day later, a morning walker spotted plastic bags floating in the River Witham. One of the bags contained a human hand and another showed Ms Bramley with a shaved head. In total, divers found 224 body parts, some of which are still missing. The body was dismembered and a cause of death could not be found, the court heard.

“Evil Monster”

Ms Bramley’s mother told the court her daughter had been married for just 16 months and the “evil monster” had not allowed her to see her family for years and the couple were on the verge of separating when he killed her, she said .

After murdering his wife, he searched for questions such as “What would I gain if my wife died?” and “Will someone’s death haunt me?”

Ms Bramley once fled her home with her pet rabbit and sought police help after he killed her hamster by putting it in a food blender and microwave. He also put her new puppy in the washing machine, only for Ms Bramley to find the dead animal spinning in the washing machine.

gruesome murder

On March 24, Lincolnshire Police went to the couple’s home to conduct a welfare check on Ms Bramley following a report of distress. When Matson answered the door, he claimed he was a victim of domestic abuse by his wife and showed police bite marks on his arms.

A British court heard Ms Bramley was killed days earlier and injured while trying to get away from her husband.

Police also found blood-stained sheets in the bathtub, several black moving objects on the floor and a strong smell of ammonia and bleach throughout the house. Matson later told police that his wife had left a women’s support group days earlier.

The killer, who will be sentenced on Monday, has not revealed how or why he killed his wife. However, his lawyers claimed that his diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder was a factor in the murder.
