Brad Pitt says he will be Peaky Blinders Universe is years ahead of its anticipated film adaptation.

The Cillian Murphy-led series became the talk of the town during its six-season run for its plot, characters and near-flawless execution.

Towards guardianShowrunner Steven Knight revealed he received advice from several A-list stars about appearing in the world of crime and violence.

“We had a lot of people contact us and want to be involved,” he said in a 2019 interview. “That’s Brad Pitt. Snoop Dogg. So is A$AP Rocky.”

At that time, he revealed that he planned to find some celebrity actors to guest star in the show, but the condition was that “they must have good acting skills.”

“We will only cast the best actor for the role, as we did with Sam Claflin, who plays [Oswald] Mosley. He was perfect,” Knight said of Claflin’s performance in season five.

The British screenwriter announced the film version of the show in an interview with Birmingham World at the premiere of his latest BBC production, this townearlier this week.

“He’s definitely coming back. We’ll be filming it on the road in Digbeth in September,” he said of Murphy.

The rest of the cast remains under wraps, fueling speculation about Pitt’s potential appearance.
