Black American airman shot dead by police in Florida

Senior Airman Roger Fortson, 23, was face-to-face with his girlfriend at home when the policeman, whose name has not been released, burst into his home and shot him six times.

Civil rights lawyer Ben Crump, who has represented the families of other African American victims of police violence, has called for a full investigation of the black killing incident.

However, his girlfriend, who was on the call with him and heard everything, said she heard “an extreme banging sound”, after which Fortson asked who it was, and after getting no response, “he went And got his legally registered gun back.” As he was moving towards the door, the door burst open and he heard several gunshots.

The matter is currently under investigation, with Aden promising to provide “transparency and accountability.”
