'BJP's '400 Pa' film flops on first day of polls': Tejashwi Yadav

Tejashwi Yadav said local issues are key in these elections.

Patna:

After the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, BJP leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday said that the BJP’s film “400 paar” suffered a huge failure on the first day.

“The Mahagathbandhan won all four seats in the first phase. We held divisional meetings and the feedback was very good. The BJP’s ‘400 paar’ film was a super flop on the first day. People of Bihar we have realized to that point and will teach them a lesson,” he said.

Mr Yadav told ANI that there is no competition in the first phase as Bihar will give a shock result this time.

“There is no contest in the first phase. We have said many times before that Bihar will give shocking results this time. They have done nothing for the people of Bihar. Modi did in 2014 and 2019 None of the promises made have been fulfilled. Now the public is fed up with their rhetoric and false promises and we have promised a special package and special status for Bihar,” he added.

The former deputy chief minister also said local issues were key in these elections.

“The entire Mahagathbandhan and the Indian bloc are working together. Apart from inflation, poverty and investments, unemployment is the biggest problem in Bihar. Migration and floods are also problems. This time, the BJP is very worried. They say they will abrogate the constitution Those who destroy the Constitution will themselves be destroyed,” Mr. Yadav said.

According to the Election Commission, the turnout in the first phase of voting in Bihar was 48.88%. Four seats – Jamui, Nawada, Gaya and Aurangabad – went to polls on Friday.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led New Democratic Alliance (which also includes the JDU and the LJP) won 39 out of 40 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan won only 1 seat.
