Hubli (Karnataka), October 23 (IANS) Commenting on RDPR, IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge’s frequent sharp attacks against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Karnataka BJP leader B. Sriramulu on Thursday claimed that a plan has been hatched in Delhi to make Priyank the Deputy Chief Minister in retaliation for attacking the RSS.
Speaking about the state government’s alleged efforts to curb RSS activities in Hubli on Thursday, Sriramulu said Priyank Kharge was “dreaming of becoming the Deputy Chief Minister.”
Sriramulu claimed, “This plan has been made under the leadership of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge. Priyank Kharge will be made the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, while Siddaramaiah will remain the Chief Minister. Its plan has already been made in Delhi. That is why Priyank Kharge is dreaming of becoming the Deputy Chief Minister.”
He further accused the Congress of indulging in “politics of hate” on the RSS issue. “Anyone can participate in the RSS. Even though the Central Gazette has been passed in this regard, the Congress is still doing politics,” he alleged.
Sriramulu also accused the Karnataka government of “declaring emergency” in the state. “In 1975, late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had declared emergency. Then, anyone who raised voice against the Congress was put in jail,” he said.
He claimed, “In 2025, the Congress-led government in Karnataka is running the state in the same manner. During their tenure, they are appreciating those who raise ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ slogans, but are not worried about those who raise ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans. They even reward such people with Rajya Sabha membership.”
He further alleged that there has been no development in Karnataka. “It is raining heavily across the state, yet Bengaluru’s roads are full of potholes. Nothing has been done to fix them,” he claimed.
“Many IT leaders, including the founder of Infosys, have expressed concern over poor road infrastructure. The government has not taken any action and industries are moving away from the state,” he alleged.
“They are incapable of governing and are indulging in vendetta politics,” he alleged.
“Incidents of rape are being reported every day in the state. Young women are scared of going to college. Chain snatching, robbery and murders have increased – this is a complete failure of governance,” Sriramulu alleged.
He also criticized the Karnataka Home Minister, saying, “He is not taking these incidents seriously and takes them lightly.”
