Chandigarh, Oct 23 (IANS) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is dejected and nervous following BJP working president Ashwini Sharma’s tweet regarding the purported viral video of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab BJP state media chief Vineet Joshi said on Thursday.
“As a result, AAP leaders are holding press conferences and making absurd, irrational and baseless statements,” Joshi told media persons at the party office in Chandigarh.
He said that after 48 hours had passed, Sharma only tweeted: “The man who used to hold press conferences on every small issue is now silent on his alleged video? Punjab deserves an answer, Bhagwant Saheb. Please clarify.”
Joshi asked, “What is wrong in the tweet?”
Launching a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and the Chief Minister, BJP leader Vaneet Joshi said, ‘If the video is fake then why is the Chief Minister silent?’
Joshi further said that this matter is not limited to just one video, but it raises serious questions on the so-called ‘honesty’ and ‘morality’ of the government.
He said, “AAP had shown people the dreams of clean politics, but now when serious questions are being raised on their own Chief Minister, the entire team is silent for two days.”
Joshi also targeted AAP leaders Baltej Pannu and Malvinder Singh Kang and said that both these leaders are always ready to point fingers at others, but now when the matter is related to their own party, their tone has changed. Vineet Joshi raised questions on the First Information Report (FIR) lodged by the cyber cell, asking, “When the Chief Minister is being mentioned in the video, why was his statement not included in the FIR? Is there any pressure on the cyber cell, or is the government trying to suppress the case?”
