After being declared the winner, Munawar faced some accusations that he was the confirmed winner. In a press interview immediately after the final, when ETimes questioned the allegations, Munawar said: “Yaar fixed winner ko itna sab go through karna pade toh it can’t be a fixed winner. If I was a fixed winner, I just put everything on a plate. I got nothing and I’ve worked so hard. To those who call me a fixed winner, my answer is just sit back and watch the entire season and you’ll realize it’s not stable.”

“People feel that way because when you have a strong fan base and you do a reality show like this, a lot is at stake and you have something to lose. In order to win, you have to do your best. Those People who call me a fixed winner cannot change their views. Maybe before going to Bigg Boss I wanted to change people’s views, but now I feel I cannot change everyone,” he added.

Munawar Faruqui not only won the championship trophy but also won a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a brand new Hyundai Creta.
