Bank Holidays in March 2024: Online banking services and ATMs will function smoothly.

According to the holiday list of the Reserve Bank of India, banks in all states will be closed for 14 days in March 2024. These closures include public holidays, regional holidays and regular closures on second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays.

Bank branches will remain closed for 14 days in March due to Mahashivratri, Holi and other holidays. Bank patrons should take note of the scheduled bank holiday dates in March so that they can coordinate their visits to branches accordingly.

Chapchar Kut on 1 March, Mahashivratri on 8 March, Holi on 25 March and Good Friday on 29 March are national holidays. In Bihar, state-specific holidays include Bihar Day on 22 March and Yaosang Second Day/Holi on 26 and 27 March.

Regular banks are closed on the second Saturday (9 March), fourth Saturday (23 March) and all Sundays throughout March. However, despite these closures, online banking services will remain available across the country.

  • 26 March: Yaosang second day/Holi (Odisha, Manipur, Bihar)
  • March 27: Holi (Bihar)
  • March 29: Good Friday (except Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh)
  • March 31: Sunday

Even though regular bank branches will remain closed on these specific days, online banking services and ATMs will function smoothly.
