Six construction workers missing after the collapse of the 2.57-kilometre Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore are presumed dead, US authorities said. Search operations to find the missing workers have also been suspended until Wednesday.

At about 1:30 a.m. local time in the United States on Tuesday, a container ship named “Dali” carrying 22 Indian crew members hit the bridge and the bridge collapsed.

It is said that the 22 Indian crew members, including the two pilots on the container ship, are currently safe. They notified authorities of “electrical issues” before the collision.

The registered owner of the Singapore-flagged vessel is Grace Ocean Pte Ltd.
