‘Awarded a Michelin star’: Zuckerberg praises this fast-food restaurant

Mark Zuckerberg went on a fun-filled trip to Japan with his family – which included skiing.

Mark Zuckerberg may be the world’s fourth-richest man and visited food paradise Japan, but he was eating McDonald’s, according to a photo posted by Meta’s CEO on Tuesday.

“McDonald’s Japan: 10/10. Give these guys a Michelin star,” the 39-year-old said on Facebook and Instagram, alongside a photo of himself wearing sunglasses eating a burger alongside his wife Priscilla Priscilla Chan outside the Golden Arches.

Zuckerberg’s tray was filled with popular Japanese menu items, including shrimp patty burgers, teriyaki chicken burgers, edamame salad and bite-sized churros, as well as the more usual chicken nuggets and fries.

Zuckerberg and his family took a trip to Japan that combined entertainment (including skiing and making Japanese knives) and business.

After meeting with Facebook developers in Tokyo on Monday and Tuesday, Zuckerberg was reportedly preparing to travel to South Korea and then to India to attend the wedding of a billionaire’s son.

Zuckerberg is expected to hold a meeting in Seoul with South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol and leaders of technology giants Samsung and LG, according to South Korean media reports.

According to the Korea Economic Daily, he will also meet with the CEO of LG Electronics to discuss the development of mixed reality headsets to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro.

Meta, Google and others have invested billions of dollars in Reliance’s digital arm Jio Platforms as they seek to compete with Amazon and Walmart in India’s vast e-commerce market.
