One Avery Delivery Employees Has claimed that the police have investigated the staff of Parcel Theft within the courier company,
In the BBC Panorama episode, which aired on Monday (15 December), an unnamed Avery messenger Broadcaster staff were reported to have been detained by police “on several occasions” at Avery delivery centres.
“Either the delivery unit staff, or the delivery unit manager, has been detained by the police and taken away along with the entire load of parcels,” the courier said, adding, “I know that theft is taking place.”
Avery told The Independent in a statement: “The BBC Panorama programme, broadcast during our busiest season, relies on matters that do not reflect who we are or the dedication of the thousands of local couriers who serve their communities every day.” The company said it would “deliver almost 900 million parcels this year”.
