Archbishop of Canterbury gives cryptic response to royal family’s feelings about Harry

The Archbishop of Canterbury broke his silence on the feud between the royal family and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during a rare TV appearance.

“We should not judge them, they are human beings. They should not be judged. They need to be prayed for and supported,” he said.

However, the archbishop declined to say whether any family member had spoken to him about a possible reconciliation.

He said, “I will not comment at all about the conversation with the royal family. I would just say to everyone, if you are one of the praying people, please pray for them because … you can’t go wrong. “

“And if you’re someone who doesn’t pray, pray for them because it can’t do any harm and it might do some good,” Welby said.

It came as Harry appeared to be cutting a lonely figure during a thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on Wednesday to mark 10 years of the Invictus Games.

No member of the royal family attended the event, despite reportedly being invited by the Duke.
