People interested in purchasing the Apple Vision Pro can visit a store to experience the headset before making a purchase decision.

Apple has created a detailed 25-minute sales demo for those interested in the Vision Pro. Customers can visit an Apple Store to see how the headset works before purchasing.

Apple’s Vision Pro mixed-reality headset is scheduled to launch in the US on February 2, and that’s just a few weeks away. Unlike a typical iPhone or Mac launch, this event requires a significant effort on the part of the company – both in terms of marketing and facilitating a seamless shopping experience for its customers.

Mark Gurman reports in his PowerOne newsletter that Apple really wants to improve the presentation of the Vision Pro headset, and in efforts to that end, the iPhone maker has put together a sophisticated 25-minute sales pitch and demo. To this end, Apple has trained hundreds of its employees in Cupertino this month to ensure that they provide accurate information and understand the entire process.

Gurman also points out that there will be more than a dozen Vision Pro demo units in US Apple Stores. The demo will start with a retail employee using an app to scan a user’s face, similar to how FaceID is set up. This step ensures that the customer selects the correct size for the light seal, foam cushion and band size. Light Seal comes in 25 different shapes and sizes, so getting the right fit is important.

And for those who wear prescription glasses, Apple will introduce a new tool to scan the lenses to get their prescription details. Then, Apple Store employees will find the right lens among hundreds and put together a demo headset.

Additionally, users will be required to go through a calibration process before experiencing the demo. These demos include the ability to explore spatial photos, spatial videos, 3D movies, and several preloaded third-party apps that demonstrate the capabilities of the headset. Gurman says that these demos are designed to be “compelling but not tiring”, leaving people “itching for more”.
