Anthony Gordon and Jack Grealish were just some of the players to react to Jacob Ramsey’s performance on Instagram following Aston Villa’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday at Villa Park.
The 21-year-old scored Villa’s second goal of the game, as Unai Emery’s side secured a comfortable three points against their relegation-threatened opponents.
It wasn’t so long ago that the Midlands outfit were shipping eight goals in two games to Leicester City and the Premier League leaders, Arsenal.
But, in their last two home matches, it’s back-to-back clean sheets, including maximum points, which is a pretty strong response from the team.
Ramsey has been part of both those victories, and after picking up little and unhelpful injuries this season, he is starting to warm up and getting back to his best form.
When Ramsey posted on IG that he ‘enjoyed’ Villa’s most recent win, Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon posted in the comments section ‘Love it you’, whilst Jack Grealish sent a raised hands and smiling face with eyes heart emoji.
Emiliano Buendia, who also got on the scoresheet against the Cherries, added ‘player’, with Alex Moreno stating ‘top, my friend’.
EMERY SHOWCASING HIS CLASS
Whilst the bottom nine Premier League teams are engulfed in utter relegation and stomach-turning chaos, and those at the top of the Premier League table are daring one another to blink in the title race, or those fighting for Europe are shooting themselves in the foot, Unai Emery is cooking up something serious in B6.
Villa are only four points off Europe, as of this moment, they have an outside chance because they still have to play Chelsea, Brighton, Fulham and Brentford – all of whom are directly above them.
Regardless of what happens, the signs the team and the manager are showing should be really encouraging because, if this same form is continued next season, then they have every chance of finally returning to Europe.
