In a significant development in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking, the task force (antiF) of anti-nashed substances, Kashmir, has successfully recovered adequate illegal contradiction, carrying forward its commitment to eradicate drug threats from UT.
A spokesman said that working on specific intelligence inputs, a dedicated team of ATLF conducted a careful planned operation at Mulshullah in District Budgam, recovering a large amount of poppy straw (locally known as Phuki). The contraband was hidden with the intention of avoiding detection, but the sharp and professional reaction of ANTF personnel ensured its seizure.
The accused was identified as Mohammad Maqbool Ghani as Mulsullah Birwah Budgam, a resident of Ghulam Hussain Gani and was placed on the spot and was taken into custody. Accordingly, a case under the sections of the NDPS Act was registered in Antaf Kashmir, and investigation has been initiated to detect backward and further linkage of the drug supply chain.
This seizure highlights the constant efforts of the task force of anti-nashed substances involved in illegal drug trade and the network. Operation underlines the zero-oppression policy of Jammu and Kashmir Police towards crimes related to intoxicants.
