Andrew ‘agrees to leave Royal Lodge on condition he finds new home’: latest

The Liberal Democrats could use the final opposition day of the parliamentary session to investigate Prince Andrew.

A Liberal Democrat source said: “We need to explore all options, including an opposition day debate, to ensure Parliament can properly investigate Prince Andrew’s relationship with his Dukedom, from his residence in the Royal Lodge.

“The first thing we need is proper transparency and accountability – that’s why we’ve called on the Crown Estate and Prince Andrew to give evidence under oath in Parliament.”

The Lib Dems have one opposition day left in this parliamentary session, but no date has been allocated for it yet.

Prince Andrew has reportedly agreed to leave the Royal Lodge on the condition that he can move into Frogmore Cottage.

The prince faces increasing pressure to leave the 30-bedroom mansion this week.

according to SunAndrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who also lives at Royal Lodge, have agreed to move out if Andrew can move into Frogmore Cottage, and Sarah can move into Adelaide Cottage, where the Prince and Princess of Wales are due to move out next month.

“Incredibly Sarah has said she wants Adelaide Cottage.”

Virginia Giuffre’s lawyer Sigrid McCauley felt that the Metropolitan Police should have investigated Andrew over Giuffre’s claims that Jeffrey Epstein had trafficked her and forced her to have sex with him in London, New York and the Caribbean, allegations Andrew has always denied.
