Anantnag court denied bail to a 70 -year -old tourist accused of raping a 70 -year -old tourist

Srinagar, June 28: A court in Jammu and Anantnag district of Kashmir has rejected the bail argument of a person accused of raping a 70 -year -old tourist from Maharashtra.

Rejecting the argument of bail, the court made a scary remark on the moral taunting of the society and said that the incident is a reflection of the “depression and sick mentality” prevalent in the society. Principal Sessions Judge Anantnag, Tahir Khurshid Raina on Friday dismissed the bail application of Zubair Ahmed, accused from Ganeshbal Pahgam.

The alleged incident took place at a hotel at a famous tourist resort in Pahgam in South Kashmir district, where the woman was living with her Emily in April.

According to police investigation, the accused illegally entered the hotel room of the septuagenian woman, when she was alone, surrounded her face with a blanket, raped her, instigated injuries and ran away from the window.

The attack was so cruel that the victim was unable to sit and move and remained in pain for several days.

However, the accused filed for bail through his lawyer, accusing the police part of false implications and bias due to personal enmity.

The accused also argued that no test identity parade was held and he was cooperating in the investigation.

The judge said that while the investigation is going on, the case diary file (CF) Prima Feshi’s Peruzel reveals the commission of rape on a senior citizen woman in a highly manner.

The judge said, “This is what she has done from Pahalgam for the rest of her life, where she came to enjoy the beauty of Kashmir.”

It states that this phenomenon is not an isolated work, but there is a reflection of the highest level of depression and sick mentality prevalent in the society, which should bow down with shame and invite a serious introspection to what it is, and how it has collapsed now.

The Chief Sessions Judge expressed his concern over the incident, saying that it is very unfortunate, condemnable with all possible words, and should shock the discretion of this society – which claims that its moorings claim to be based on rich moral values and culture – but now it is shaken.

“A revered guest, who was a senior woman, was on his own journey to this land of saints and the western, was treated so shrubbing and shocking that for all time to come, she would regret the choice of a place made to spend the period of his old age with his children,” the court said.

The judge expressed concern over eradicating the moral compass of the society, and asked for introspection.

“Any sheets, conscious keepers, dogs, dogs, and philanthropists of this society will rise on the occasion what is going wrong on the moral front of the society, it would be better that it would be better to save Kashmir as heaven on earth in its true sense,” Raina said.
