Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra on Monday said Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Karnataka on February 10, during which he is expected to attend meetings in Bengaluru and Mysuru Political parties and official events held. Shah may also hold a meeting with state BJP core committee members, he told reporters here.

“Amit Shahji will arrive in Karnataka and Bengaluru on February 10. We will hold a meeting of Lok Sabha cluster leaders in Bengaluru. The four Lok Sabha segments will be brought under one cluster,” Vijayendra said.

“There is news that he is also attending a government event, we haven’t got any official news yet, but he will come on February 10. He will attend the Sutturu Jathra (fair) in Sutturu (Mysore) around 5 pm,” he added.

The BJP and JD(S) have formed an alliance and decided to fight the Lok Sabha polls together. The two parties are engaged in seat-sharing negotiations.

In the 2019 polls, the BJP won 26 of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka, including Sumalatha Ambareesh, the party-backed independent candidate from Mandya. Congress and JD(S) got one seat each.
