Addressing a rally in Bihar’s Siwan district, Shah criticized the Lalu Prasad-led party for fielding Osama Shahab, son of gangster-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin.
“The people here should ensure that Shahabuddin’s son, who is contesting from the Raghunathpur seat, faces a humiliating defeat in the assembly elections. The people of Siwan have tolerated the ‘jungle raj’ of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi for at least 20 years.
The Home Minister said, “I am confident that the people of Bihar will celebrate the real Diwali on November 14, when the election results will be declared. RJD and its alliance partners will suffer a humiliating defeat.”
Shah also claimed that the opposition India group in Bihar has now completely disintegrated.
Criticizing the Congress for the recent ‘Voters Rights March’ in the state, he said, “According to Rahul Gandhi, infiltrators should stay here. But be assured that not a single infiltrator will be allowed to stay in Bihar.” Addressing another rally in Buxar, Shah alleged that by giving ticket to Shahabuddin’s son, Lalu Prasad has proved that he wants to bring back ‘jungle raj’ in Bihar.

“RJD fielded Shahabuddin’s son as its candidate, while we fielded candidates like former IPS officer Anand Mishra (Buxar seat). This shows the difference between the NDA and the ‘grand alliance’,” he said.
Shah said, “Nitish Kumar made efforts to bring Bihar back on track and Modi ji has been nurturing the state for the last 10 years… I pray to ‘Chhathi Maiya’ that she continues to bless the people of Bihar so that ‘Jungle Raj’ does not return.”
