Allu Arjun’s relationship with the Konidela family is well known. The two families are connected as Allu Arjun’s grandfather Allu Ramalingaiya was Chiranjeevi’s father-in-law. The two families, collectively known as the Aru-Kontila family, were influential in both film and politics. Chiranjeevi’s brother Pawan Kalyan founded the Jana Sena Party and has contested elections for years. Although his brothers Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu are not members of the JSP, they have campaigned for the party. So when talk of Allu Arjun joining politics surfaced, it was thought that he would join either the Jana Sena Party or the Bharat Rashtra Samiti Party, his father-in-law Kanchara ·Chandrasekhar Reddy is a famous member of the party.

However, the situation took a major turn on Friday as Chandrasekhar Reddy joined the Congress along with some other former BRS leaders.

According to reports, Reddy did not get a party ticket from BRS to attend the Nagarjuna Sagar match but gave it to Nomula Bhagath. Upset with this development, Reddy joined the Congress, which will elect him from Malkajigiri constituency. Now, all eyes are on Allu Arjun as fans wait to see if he will campaign for his father-in-law.

After joining the Congress party, Kanchara Chandrasekhar Reddy surprised everyone by telling reporters that his son-in-law Allu Arjun will campaign for him and work for his electoral success. While Reddy has expressed confidence that Allu Arjun will campaign for him, the iconic star himself is yet to make any such statement and it remains to be seen whether he will actually do so.
