Emmy Award-winning director Richie Mehta returns with another investigative thriller, Poachers. Alia Bhatt, the executive producer of the web series, was recently seen at the trailer launch event in Mumbai on Thursday. A video from the event went viral, in which she can be seen looking awkward while introducing herself.

In the now-viral video, the host of the event began introducing Alia. Alia said, “Please, don’t do this. No, no, don’t… you tell me later in my ear.” When the host called her a global icon, Alia frowned and said, “No, no , please. I’m going to step off the stage.” She looked embarrassed when the event’s host praised her achievement.

The video appeared on the microblogging site Reddit and immediately went viral. One person wrote, “I don’t think she’s being modest… I think she knows she’s going to get trolled online for these superlatives.” Another added, “I think celebrities pretend to be modest and don’t do that every day Look at them showing off their superiority.” One person praised Alia’s outfit, writing: “I love the color of her suit. Surprisingly, it stands out even against the green background.” Another One review read: “The ombre looks really good.”

Talking about the series, Alia said at the event: “Richie told the story so beautifully. It brought me closer to him emotionally and physically and I told him, ‘Tell me what I can do’ , how can I help”. My partner/sister Shaheen Bhatt and our practice leader Grishma are a small team of three. But we do believe that we want to be something that moves and impacts you and sparks some kind of conversation part of the story. We interrogated Rich after watching it. I can write this here and tell you, your mind will be blown away.”
