After Pahgam, Omar Abdullah to hold a meeting in Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, May 28: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will preside over a meeting of his ministers and top officials in Ski Resort Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, which will be as part of their government’s efforts to bring tourists back to the central region after the deadly Pahgam terror attack.

A notice issued by the General Administration Department said that the CM will preside over the meeting in Gulmarg at 12 noon.
Apart from officials of the top civilian administration, the meeting is expected to attend the meeting by Inspector General of Police Kashmir; Deputy Inspector General, North Kashmir; And Senior Superintendent of Police, Baramullah.
On Tuesday, Abdullah presided over the meeting of his Council of Ministers in Pahgam, South Kashmir.
Officials said that the purpose behind holding meetings outside the firm civil secretariat is to reduce fear and strengthen the sense of security and trust.
This will cause revival of tourism in Kashmir after a large -scale shock after the April 22 terror attack, in which 26 people, most of the tourists were killed, he said.
The government of Jammu and Kashmir is hosting a group of visits and travel operators to different parts of the country as part of its efforts to bring tourists back. (Agencies)
