The head of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti also expressed his deep grief over the death of Thapa. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family of Thapa, praying for his soul to rest peacefully.

Civil areas in Rajouri district of Jammu suffered losses due to fire by Pakistan. A series of explosions damaged many houses and properties throughout the region, causing nervousness among the residents. According to local people, smoke increased after loud explosions in Rajouri.
