Shrinagar, June 27, KDC: The Anti-Judge Anti-Corruption, Anti-Judge Anti Corruption, filed a charge sheet before the court of Judge Anti Corruption, Kashmir, linked to ₹ 9,000 demand for land record processing in a bribe case against two persons.
“The Bureau of Anti-Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau has filed a charge sheet before the Hon’ble Court of Adel under Section 173 CR.PC. Anti-judge anti-corruption, FIR number 15/2022 in case of Kashmir, against the following accused persons: Jamil Hussain Khan, then Patwari Halak Bagat-e-Shur, Ovant Bhawan, Sora, Tehsil Idgah-Ko was charged under Section 7 of the Prevention of 1988 (as amended in 2018) and Section 120-B IPC, and more Shafat-ur-Remon Bhat, retired Patwari-Neal Corruption Act, 1988 and Section 120-B accused under Section 12 of IPC, a spokesperson said in a statement by Kashmir.com.
“The immediate case was launched after a complaint, alleging that Jamil Hussain Khan, through his colleague Shafat-ur-Remon Bhat, demanded a bribe of ₹ 9,000 to process revenue related revenue documents. Acting on the complaint, a trap was laid by ACB on 11.04.2022, resulting in recovery of bribe amount from the accused. ,
“After the registration of the case FIR No. 15/2022 P/S ACB Srinagar Kashmir, the investigation of the case was proved against the accused and after the government’s agreement. The prosecution was approved to start prosecution, the invoice of the case was presented before the Honorable Court of Edl for 27.06.2025.”
“It is appropriate to mention here that the accused Shafat-ur-Remon Bhat was already convicted in a corruption case registered against him in the year 2009. The next date of hearing has been set on 13.08.2025, ”the statement states. (KDC)
