Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes are set to bring their talents to the highly anticipated sequel, after 28 years,
hollywood reporter It was confirmed on Wednesday, April 24 that the trio would star in the film, which would once again be directed by Danny Boyle.
The sequel comes nearly two decades after Boyle’s original film, 28 days laterwhich captivated audiences with its intense story about a man, played by Cillian Murphy, who wakes up in a hospital to find that the UK has been overrun by a zombie outbreak.
Boyle, along with screenwriter Alex Garland, are set to pen the script for the new film, which is being produced for Sony as the second installment in the trilogy.
The two previously worked together in 2007 on 28 Weeks Later, where he served as executive producer.
Boyle and Garland will be joined as producers for the new film by Andre Macdonald, Bernie Belew and Peter Rice, with Fiennes also joining as executive producer.
