‘Aaja, Aaja’: Virat Kohli mocks Indian star for crashing helmet after IPL win over RCB 2023

Rajasthan Royals on Friday uploaded an interesting video of Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Virat Kohli meeting their pacer Avesh Khan. RCB will play their IPL 2024 match against RR on Saturday, April 6 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The RCB team has already started preparations and reached the venue before the match. During a practice, Kohli met Avish in a funny way and the video was shared on social media by RR. “Aaja, aaja. Well…aisa mouka phir kahan milega. (Come on, come on. When will I get another chance like this?),” Kohli said to Avesh before the two hugged each other.

In both RCB’s matches against Lucknow Supergiants in IPL 2023, both Avish and Kohli were in the limelight for the wrong reasons. The first match between RCB and LSG turned out to be a thrilling affair with KL Rahul’s side emerging as the victors. When the team successfully completed the chase against RCB, then LSG player Avish was on the field and he threw his helmet on the ground in celebration. This move later earned Avish a hefty fine.

The issue became a bone of contention in Kohli’s next game against Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir.

When the two teams met for the second time in IPL 2023, RCB won the match. Kohli apparently vented his anger after the win, which led to a clash with LSG player Naveen and then mentor Gambhir. The fight became one of the major controversial moments of IPL 2023.

Talking about the upcoming IPL 2024 matches, struggling RCB and ambitious RR oddly have similar concerns to address when they face off in Jaipur on Saturday.

RCB currently sit eighth out of 10 teams, which speaks volumes about their plight, but Rajasthan’s unbeaten record so far doesn’t necessarily reflect their disarray.
