New Delhi:
A child fell into a well in Derek Shopur area on Sunday, an official said. According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), the child fell into an approximately 40-50 feet deep well inside the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) factory in Keshopur Mandi area.
As of the time of filing this report, teams from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Delhi Police were at the scene, spearheading rescue operations.
According to rescuers, five fire engines rushed to the scene after receiving news of the accident.

The NDRF rescue team at the scene was led by Superintendent Inspector Veer Pratap Singh.
“We will soon launch a rescue operation and dig a well parallel to where the child fell. However, this may be a long operation,” Singh told news agency ANI.
