Bandipora, July 07, KDC: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has Rs. 41 crore for development works in Bandipora district under aspiration grant for DDC, BDC, PRI, and financial year 2025-26.
It was now given in a meeting chaired by Ghani Bhat, the chairman of the District Development Council (DDC) on Monday.
The meeting was attended by Vice President DDC Bandipora, Kosar Shafiaq, all DDC members of the district, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmed Qadri and all other concerned officials of the district administration participated to discuss the construction of the District Capes Yojana for the financial year 2025-26.
Meeting Threadbear discussed sector-wise proposals in all three constituencies of the district, besides discussing the progress of the ongoing development works under the 2024-25 CAPEX scheme, reviewed their financial and physical status.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner gave a detailed observation of the progress made under the District Capux Plan 2024-25, and also highlighted the major focus areas for the District Capex Plan 2025-26.
The meeting was informed that Rs 10 crore has been reserved for work under DDC grant, Rs 3 crore under BDC grant, Rs 25 crore under PRI grant, Rs 2 crore under Aspirational Block Development Scheme and Rs 2 crore under Aspirational Panchayat Development Scheme.
Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner informed the meeting that 483 work would be done in DDC grants, including 139 spill over works, 107 works under BDC grant, including 30 spill over works, 1488 works include 579 spill over works under RI Grants.
In the regular district budget, it was given that since the last financial year, there are 12 ongoing works in the health sector with a total outlay of 1.86 crore, while 8 tasks are under execution with a approved outlay of Rs 2.85 crore in primary education infra development.
Liability was also discussed in the meeting due to the ongoing works and availability of money for new works. The Deputy Commissioner said that under the Aspirational Block Developmental Scheme, Rs 1.04 crore is available for new works.
Considering the CAPEX scheme for 2025-26, Chairperson DDC Bandipora insisted on giving priority to projects on public demand basis. He emphasized the need for effective implementation of schemes at the ground level in alignment with real needs and aspirations of the people.
He extended inter-departmental coordination and timely fund release to ensure efficient implementation of government schemes.
BHAT emphasized the innovative and result-oriented implementation of various government schemes. He urged all the departments to maintain transparency, follow the deadline, and give priority to the Public Welfare Development Initiative under the District Capex Plan.
