The automotive industry was abuzz this week, with major announcements and new launches across both cars and motorcycles. On the car front, Maruti Suzuki unveiled the e-Vitara – the company’s first electric SUV – in India, which offers dual battery-pack options. Meanwhile, the new generation Kia Seltos was teased ahead of its launch in December. Among two-wheelers, the Triumph Tiger Sport 800 Tour and a new Royal Enfield cruiser were also introduced.

Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara

Maruti Suzuki has launched its first electric SUV e-Vitara in India. Customers can choose between two battery-pack options – 49 kWh and 61 kWh – that offer a balance between efficiency and performance. Pricing has not been announced yet, and bookings for the e-Vitara will begin in January 2026.

Lexus RX 350h Premium Grade

Lexus India has added a new ‘Exquisite’ grade to the RX 350h line-up, expanding the range while maintaining the brand’s focus on hybrid technology, sophisticated design and comfort. Starting at ₹89.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new variant offers additional options for buyers in the luxury SUV segment.

Mahindra’s popular SUVs – the XUV700 and the Scorpio N – are expected to receive mid-cycle updates in 2026. The refreshed Scorpio N is likely to be launched in the second half of the year, while the updated XUV700 is expected to be launched in the first quarter. After extensive testing, Kia will introduce the new generation Seltos in India on December 10. Inspired by the global models, the teaser reveals C-shaped DRLs integrated into the headlights along with vertically and horizontally layered LED lighting. A panoramic sunroof adds to the premium appeal of the SUV, and the Kia badge is placed prominently above the grille.

Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Cruise Control Variant

Hero MotoCorp has announced the price of the new Xtreme 160R 4V variant equipped with cruise control. Priced at ₹1,34,100 – about ₹4,500 more than the standard model – it retains the same mechanical setup, with a 163.2 cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that delivers 16.9 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

2025 Ducati Streetfighter V2 and V2 S

Ducati has launched the 2025 Streetfighter V2 and V2 S in India. Both models are powered by a new 890 cc, 90-degree V2 engine compliant with Euro 5+ norms. The engine produces a maximum torque of 93.3 Nm at 8,250 rpm and a maximum power output of 120 bhp at 10,750 rpm. Prices start at ₹17.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
