Loginova went viral earlier this month after videos posted online showed her playing the Noise MC song “Swan Lake Cooperative” on St. Petersburg’s Nevsky Prospekt as spectators chanted.

The Noize MC openly criticizes the Kremlin and lives in Lithuania. Russia banned his song in May on the grounds that it contained a “hostile, hateful attitude toward the people” and promoted “violent changes in the foundations of the constitutional system.”

Last week, another young street musician, Yevgeny Mikhailov, was jailed for 14 days in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg after he performed songs by Noise MC and other anti-Kremlin artists in support of Loginova and her bandmates.

According to independent news outlet Mediazona, Mikhailov was found guilty of petty hooliganism and “defaming” the Russian military.
