New nottingham forest Owner sean dyche His team were blamed for a “collective bad day” and “really poor decisions” after a 2–0 defeat to the high-flying bournemouth before that Premier League Competition in-charge.

Forests failed to carry forward the momentum generated by them Europa League The win on Thursday night, their first in all competitions since August, took the Cherries up to second in the table after goals from Marcus Tavernier and Junior Crupi.

Tavernier’s opener, scored directly from a corner, did not arrive without controversy. Replays show that the goalscorer may be the last player to touch the ball before a set-piece is awarded.

Dyche said: “In the first half we looked flat and didn’t have that energy or that spark. We couldn’t get the lead you need to play, and then the second half was a bit better.

“But I think it really comes down to a poor decision that goes against us, in my opinion, I’ve been booked for no reason, because it’s obviously the wrong decision, but that’s what happens sometimes.

“Dealing with these setbacks is part of football, and of course in the Premier League you have to deal with them, and we didn’t deal with them very well today.”

Dyche admitted that it was “incredibly disappointing” that VAR could not be involved in decisions about corners, but felt that the hosts were “the better side overall, and deserved to be ahead at half-time, so there are no excuses”.

He added: “I call it a collective down day from the beginning. When you get a collective down day it’s the hardest thing to change during the game, and half time is really your first break to change it.

“When we made the decision I was pleased with that side of it. I thought the second half was a stronger performance.”

Bournemouth boss Andoni Ierola insists it is too early to celebrate the Cherries’ standing in the top flight.

“The most important thing for me is 18 points,” he said. “We play away to (Manchester) City and away to (Aston) Villa before the break. I would like to add more points.

“I don’t care about the position right now. The league is so compact that one win, one loss, you go up and down five, six places, so now it’s about performances, how competitive we are.

“We will try to add what I know is going to be very difficult, to add more points before the break.”
