Chandigarh, Oct 26 (IANS) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday said the life of ‘Sant Namdev Ji Maharaj’ reflected love, devotion and equality as he worked to unite the society by eliminating discrimination, untouchability and inequality.
Presiding over a state-level program dedicated to ‘Sant Namdev-ji Maharaj’ in Hisar under the ‘Sant-Mahapurusha Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana’, a government initiative aimed at spreading the teachings of saints and great personalities, CM Saini announced that, in response to people’s request, a government institution will be named after Sant Namdev Maharaj.
CM Saini announced a grant of Rs 51 lakh for the maintenance of various dharamshalas managed by the community and for installing solar panels.
He said if the community applies for plots in Bhiwani, Panipat and Narnaul then the land will be allotted as per the norms.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister said that other demands would be sent to the concerned departments for implementation.
The Chief Minister said that Sant Namdev ji saw divinity in every person and worked tirelessly to eliminate social evils like casteism, untouchability and inequality.
He said that true religion unites humanity and teaches compassion towards others. He said that Sant Namdev Ji’s message of hard work, dedication and honesty is deeply rooted in the social fabric of Haryana.
“The working class, farmers, artisans, tailors, blacksmiths and all hard-working people of the state embody his spirit through their dedication and work.”
The Chief Minister said that the government, guided by its commitment towards harmony, goodwill, equitable development, unity and tolerance, has introduced reforms that have made the life of the common citizen simpler, easier and safer.
He said, “People no longer need to visit multiple offices to access government services. In today’s Haryana, the hopes and aspirations of common citizens are being fulfilled and their dreams are turning into reality. Inspired by the teachings of saints and great personalities, the state government is dedicated to the welfare and upliftment of every section of the society.”
“Its most important objective is to improve the living standards of the poor, ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person,” the Chief Minister said.
